Deputy Principal (Academic) of the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). His research interests are democracy and governance, problems of professionalism and professionals in developing countries; corruption and ethics especially in government.
Hadija joined the University of Dar es Salaam for her first degree in 2004 after obtaining a Certificate for Advanced Secondary school education from Zanaki Girls High School a year before. She graduated in 2007 with a BA: Political Science and Public Administration (Hons) and was awarded as the Best Female Student for Political Science Class of 2007 by the Dar es Salaam University Political Science Student Association (DUPSA). Following a scholarship award by Research and Education for Democracy in Tanzania (REDET), she registered for MA degree in Public Administration, where she wrote a dissertation titled Parliamentary Budgetary Control in Tanzania. The Dissertation was supervised by Prof. Rwekaza S. Mukandala who is also a Vice Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam. In 2008, Hadija was employed by the University of Dar es Salaam as a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. Following a successful completion of her MA degree in 2010, she was promoted to the position of an Assistant Lecturer, the position she still holds until today.
